How do I get my certification?

The ITIL exams are by PeopleCert. Our training and training materials prepares you perfectly for the exam.

Online vs. Paperbased

With PeopleCert, you have the option of choosing between an online and a paper-based examination. The paper-based exam takes place directly after your training course and is therefore only possible without complications during face-to-face events. For the online exam, you can choose the time and place (within one year of completing the course).

One of the two options must be selected when booking. If you change your mind later, this is possible up to 5 days before the start of the course.

Details about the online exam:

After we register you with PeopleCert for the online exam, you will receive an email with all important info (usually on the first day of training). The e-mail contains a voucher code that you can use to set up your account. This code is valid for one year. Once you have logged in, you can select one of the many exam dates offered. This is a Procter exam, which means a PeopleCert employee sits virtually across from you while you take the exam.

Which format is the Foundation certification exam?

  • Multiple-choice exam
  • Language: English
  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • Number of questions: 40
    There are four possible answers.
    Only one answer is correct.
  • At least 65 percent of the questions (26 out of 40) must be answered correctly in order to pass the exam and receive the ITIL 4 Foundation certificate.

Request exam adjustment

Exam candidates with special needs or limitations may receive reasonable adjustments during the exam process to ensure equal opportunities. You are welcome to refer to PeopleCert’s „Reasonable Adjustment Policy“ to see what this entails and request a reasonable adjustment if necessary (at least 10 working days before the first exam). How long is the certification valid?

The certificate must be renewed after three years. Renewal can be done either by successfully passing the same certification exam again, or by obtaining a certificate from the same training area.

We are also happy to offer inhouse trainings exclusively for your team. Please send us a request via our Inhouse-Form.

In-house training also available as online live training

No matter where your employees are located, whether at the workplace or at home, they can participate in a fully-fledged company in-house training online from there. Our experienced trainers present the same material as in a face-to-face training and are available to answer participants‘ questions during the training. In addition, you save travel costs for the trainer.
